Bangkok Vacations
Would you like some help planning your Bangkok Vacations? I will explain to you how you can save money when planning your trip based on my experiences. I have done the research for you, so you don't have to.
First off, Bangkok is the largest urban area and capital city of Thailand. It is one of the world's top tourist hotspots. Generally, the weather is warm to hot year round, with the coolest months from November to February, and the hottest from April to August.
Thailand has something to offer for everyone on their Bangkok Vacations. There are many beautiful temples to visit if you enjoy seeing the sights. If you prefer a little more action, check out a Muay Thai kickboxing match at ringside on a Friday evening.
Looking to do some shopping? The largest shopping mall complex in Southeast Asia, CentralWorld, resides in Bangkok's Pathum Wan district. There are also other large malls, like Siam Paragon, to satisfy your shopping whims. And if that's not enough, street vendors line the sides of Sukhumvit road, where you can find almost anything. There are also many night markets and weekend markets for those wishing to practice their haggling skills.
After a long day of shopping and walking around, take a load off with a relaxing foot massage for your weary feet. Or indulge yourself with a full body traditional Thai massage at one of the many locations all over Bangkok. With some places priced as low as 100 Baht per hour, this should be one of the things at the top of your to do list. For those that prefer a more professional setting in a larger complex, although slightly more expensive, Health Land Spa and Massage is a great place to go to.
When you are done with your massage, it is time to get ready for Bangkok's infamous nightlife. Bars are plentiful, where you can kick back with a few beers. Check out the gogo bars and watch the sexy ladies dance for you. Also, Bangkok offers some of the hottest night clubs all over the world. If you are feeling a little bold and want something different, be sure to watch a ladyboy show or a tiger show.
So how do you save money when planning for your Bangkok Vacations?
Booking your Bangkok Vacations with your local travel agency's tour package is usually the cheapest way to go. Sometimes you can find packages at around the same cost as what airfare is already, but usually it is just a few hundred dollars more. These packages include airfare, your hotel accomodations, transfer to and from the airport, and entrance fees to the various tours you will be taken on. Some meals are also included as well.
If all this is included, then why not just book the tour?
The problem with the tour package is that you MUST adhere to their schedule, but I do not know how strictly they enforce this rule. The day starts early in the morning, and ends sometime in the evening. Throughout the day, the tour will take you to various shopping spots where they would take a commission from the things you purchased. This is the reason why they can offer the packages at such a discounted price. On the positive side, your nights are usually free to do as you wish. Also, many of these packages allow you to extend the length of your stay at your own expense.
The next option is for those that wish to set their own schedules and be free to explore the city on their own.
Airfare - After taking so many trips to Asia over the last few years, I have found that the best option for airfare is to use a local travel agent.
Hotel - Reliable and competitive, Agoda is more often than not the lowest priced booking agency for hotels in Thailand. They also have a very large selection.
Transit - It is usually best to just take a taxi from the airport to your hotel. If your group is larger than 3, or if you are not staying in Bangkok, then you may want to consider hiring a private van from a transportation service.
If you cannot find a local travel agent, or if you need assistance arranging transportation in Bangkok, please feel free to contact Bangkok Vacations.
I hope these planning tips are able to help you to save some money when planning for your Bangkok Vacations. I also hope that I was able to help you save time researching how you are going to get to Bangkok, and instead spend your time planning how to enjoy your time in this wonderful and exciting city!
